Terry Fox Run 2022

The Langley City Terry Fox Run held on Sunday, September 18th was well supported by an enthusiastic New Directions English Language School Team of 24 persons including volunteers, 10km runners and 5km walkers.
With sunny skies, the participants gathered at Douglas Park at 8:30AM, with volunteers Yvonne Hopp, President of New Directions and Margaret Ann, Community Events Coordinator welcoming and supporting the New Directions Team.
New Directions offers English language instruction to Newcomers in addition to many Real World skills including volunteerism in the community under the banners of Canadian Values, Rights and Responsibilities.
Organizers of the Terry Fox Run expressed their deepest gratitude for all the help they received from New Directions. In total, the Langley City run raised $19,682.95 with 127 participants.
It was an excellent community event, well planned and supported that culminated in a fabulous success story!
